Who is this guy?

I'm Shehab, an Egyptian-American Product Designer from the NYC area, specifically Jersey City.

I studied Human-Computer Interaction at NJIT and have since worked across media, fintech, and enterprise software. My experience spans from designing AI-powered news tools at Axios and financial products at American Express, to creating consumer automation tools for millions of small businesses at Intuit, financial wellness tools at Prudential, and group social coordination tools at Coo-e.

Throughout my career, I've consistently focused on bridging information gaps through design work. Technology has closed knowledge gaps in many areas but has implicitly widened them in others. I feel it's my responsibility as a designer to address this challenge thoughtfully.

I believe that design doesn't stop and start at the digital interface. It's about thinking of the big picture and long-term strategy, creating smooth transitions between the digital world and real life. The implications of using a software product always extend into the non-digital, natural world. With this perspective, I hope to leave the internet better than I found it.

When I'm not designing, I'm exploring YouTube rabbit holes, learning about generative art, and trying to finish my massive backlog of Steam games.
